Them Dead bones

This sermon was preached at The Lighthouse by Pastor Chris Mathews

Sometimes I look around at our Country at the great monuments and accomplishments of our past. It makes me feel proud to be an American.

Sometimes I look at these same monuments and see grave markers, tombstones. Like a great valley of bones shooting up on the horizon of our past.

No new marvels. No newness at all.

The Empire State building, The Hoover Dam, The transcontinental railroad or even the first steps on the moon all victories of our past.

Most of which happened before you were even born.

What great victories do we celebrate today?

 What common cause unites us?

What common cause do we fight for?

So many have lives today that are as dry as the dead bones in Ezekiel Chapter 37
